The Anoka County Jail is a 248-bed facility. We house primarily non-sentenced inmates in a combination of direct supervision and remote supervision housing units. The jail will strive to provide programs and services that are designed to meet the individual problems and needs of the detainees in a cost effective and efficient manner. The Anoka County Jail shall be operating in a manner that meets or exceeds state and national standards.
The Jail Division also includes the Sheriff’s Office Warrants Unit. Each year nearly 12,000 warrants are issued and processed through the unit. Warrants are entered into both a statewide and nationwide database. Detention staff also verifies the existence of warrants and removes them from the database systems.
